SFTi Dual License v1.0
Two paths, one system
Learn with it freely; you need a commercial licence to sell with it. Personal, educational, research and other non-commercial use is granted at no charge under Part A. Building SFTi — or anything derived from it, or its output — into a product, service or data feed you charge for requires the written commercial licence in Part B. A paid SFTi subscription is not that licence: it buys your access and your request allowance, not the right to resell.
What this licence covers
"The Software" is the SFTi system built and operated by StatikFinTech, LLC at sfti-ai.org: its source, its models and trained parameters, the web application and progressive web app, the HTTP API and its client SDK, and the accompanying documentation. "Output" is what the Software produces for you — scanner results, levels, written summaries, system state and API responses.
This licence governs what you may do with the Software and its Output. Your account, your subscription, billing and the conduct rules of the service are governed by the Terms of Service; what the Software is and is not is governed by the Risk Disclaimer. Where this licence and the Terms touch the same subject, the Terms govern the service and this licence governs the rights.
A. Fair Use License — free, consumer level
Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of the Software and its associated documentation, to use, copy, modify and distribute the Software for personal, educational, research or non-commercial purposes only, subject to the following conditions:
- Commercial use is strictly prohibited without express written permission.
- This licence and its attribution notice must be retained in all copies or substantial portions.
- The Software is provided "as is", with no warranties.
- Derivatives and forks must preserve attribution to SFTi and StatikFinTech, LLC.
- You may not use the Software, its models or its Output to train, deploy or package commercial AI agents, models or tools.
- You may not redistribute the Output as your own product, data feed, newsletter or signal service.
- Violations of these terms may result in revocation of rights and pursuit of licence enforcement.
B. Commercial License — organisation and institution
For organisations or individuals seeking to use SFTi for commercial applications — including SaaS platforms, AI services, enterprise tools, closed-source forks, redistribution of Output, or resale — a separate paid licence is required.
A commercial licence grants:
- rights to use, modify and integrate SFTi in proprietary projects;
- rights to redistribute Output under your own name, on the terms we agree in writing;
- priority support and licence-compliance protection;
- optional private licensing extensions.
Ask for one at SFTi.Help@sfti-ai.org. Tell us what you want to build and who it is for; the terms are written per case, not off a shelf.
C. A subscription is not a commercial licence
The subscription tiers published on the Shop page buy your account, its API keys and its request allowance across the SFTi services your tier can reach. That is a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while it is paid for. It transfers no ownership, and it carries no right to resell, sublicense, mirror or redistribute the Software or the Output. Cancellation and refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.
D. The API
An API key is issued to one account and is personal to it. Under Part A you may call the API on your own tier, for your own personal, educational or research work, and build on the responses for your own use. You may not proxy, relay, resell or mirror API access, work around metering or quotas, or republish responses as a feed. Commercial redistribution of API Output is Part B.
E. Output and your own work
You keep whatever you create with the Output; we keep the system that produced it. The Output is information produced by software — it is not advice, not a recommendation, and not a statement about what any market will do. The Risk Disclaimer says that in full and applies to everything in this licence.
F. Attribution
Any copy, fork, derivative or public use permitted under Part A must carry visibly: "Built on SFTi — © StatikFinTech, LLC — sfti-ai.org". Do not use the SFTi or StatikFinTech names, marks or logos in a way that implies endorsement, partnership or authorship of your work by us.
G. No warranty
The Software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or usefulness of any Output. To the fullest extent the law allows, StatikFinTech, LLC accepts no liability for any claim, damage or loss arising out of the Software or its use. The limitation of liability in the Terms of Service applies here in full.
H. Enforcement
Rights granted under Part A terminate automatically if you breach them. They are reinstated if you cure the breach and tell us you have. We may also revoke a fair-use grant in writing where it is being used commercially without a Part B licence. Nothing here limits our other remedies.

Plainly
You can use this to learn, build, experiment and remix — freely. You cannot sell it, or what it produces, without a licence. If you take it and sell it, you are just proving the point of why it was built this way.
